Each month, the Holy Spirit Orthodox Church Ministry of Compassion reaches out to local organizations in our community. In August, we partnered with Harmony House, an outreach program in Huntington, WV, dedicated to assisting individuals experiencing homelessness. Harmony House conducts daily visits to homeless encampments, providing essential resources to those in need as they work toward securing housing.
In the accompanying photo, Father John Dixon is pictured with the items we donated to Harmony House. Our contributions included highly requested items like men's underwear, socks, and snacks. These donations were made possible through the generous support of one of our local businesses and Mary Ann Dolen.
